Founded in November 2024, HS Legal was built on a simple belief, Family Law Services should be accessible to everyone. Our aim is simple; to provide clear, practical and compassionate legal advice whilst making the process as straightforward as possible.

Where appropriate, we provide in‑house court representation, reducing the need for external counsel and helping clients manage costs without compromising on quality or advocacy.

Family dynamics are shaped by culture, community, and identity. We are fluent in Punjabi, and our staff speak fluent Gujarati, allowing us to support clients in the language they are most comfortable with. Our cultural awareness ensures sensitivity, understanding, and respect — especially in matters where tradition and family expectations play a significant role.

Harpreet Sanghera - Solicitor and Founder
HS Legal is founded by Harpreet Sanghera. I have worked in the legal profession since graduating, building almost two decades of experience across the legal sector, before founding HS Legal.
Over the years, I've seen first hand that legal matters often come at some of the most difficult and uncertain times in people's lives. I wanted to create a Law Firm, where clients could receive expert legal advice, while also feeling listened to, supported and understood.
That is why I founded HS Legal
My particular passion is helping families navigate periods of change, whether that is a relationship breakdown, arrangements for children or putting plans in place for the future through Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. I believe that being a good Solicitor is about more than knowing the Law. Its about listening to people, explaining things clearly and helping clients understand their options so that they can make informed decisions about what is right for them and their family.
As a working mum and business owner, I also understand that life doesn't always fit neatly around office hours and appointments, I aim to make HS Legal approachable, friendly and accessible, whilst maintaining professional standards you would expert.
Outside of work, family is at the heart of my life which is one of the reasons the work we do at HS Legal means so much to me.

Seema is a valued member of our team, providing dedicated support across client communication, case management, and day-to-day legal administration. Seema's approachable manner and attention to detail, helps ensure every client receives an efficient and professional service.

At HS Legal, we believe that being part of our local community means more than providing legal services.
We're proud to support organisations and charities that make a difference to individuals and families. We regularly support Women's Aid Leicestershire and take part in fundraising, donation and community initiatives throughout the year. Our community work includes supporting appeals for essential items, seasonal donations and fundraising activities as well as looking for new ways for our team and client's to make a difference.

Women's Aid Warm Winter Appeal
We are collecting warm winter items for the women and children currently accessing Women's Aid Leicestershire.
Walk 100 miles for Breast Cancer Now October
The "Walk 100 Miles" challenge encourages participants to walk a total of 100 miles throughout the month of October. This initiative aims to raise funds for breast cancer research and support services, helping those affected by the disease.
Divorce
Divorce is never easy, but it is easier with a compassionate and reliable Family Solicitor by your side; that is HS Legal.
We guide our clients through the process with compassion and care, assuring that they have the right support and legal advice.
Finances
Family Law matters can bring financial uncertainties however, at HS Legal we will ensure that things stay on the right track. We can help you reach a financial agreement outside of Court Proceedings where possible. We can also issue Court Proceedings, where necessary and represent you in Court.
Children
HS Legal can guide you through your Child Law matter. We know that this can be an emotionally challenging time and we offer compassionate, expert legal support. We have helped parents, grandparents and family members manage their Child Law matter as managing the sensitivity and emotions surrounding these situations.
Court Representation
In the first instance, we attempt to resolve disputes through negotiation. When they cannot be resolved this way, we can represent you in Court Proceedings. We can also assist as an Agent Solicitor where we are not instructed on the case.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that allows you to appoint one or more trusted individuals to make decisions on your behalf if you are unable to do so in the future. There are two types of Power of Attorney; Health and Welfare and Property and Finances.
Wills
A professionally drafted Will ensures your assets are distributed according to your wishes and allows you to appoint executors and guardians where needed. Without one, your estate is governed by intestacy rules. Our team can help you put clear, legally sound arrangements in place for peace of mind.

We operate by appointment so please contact us in advance if you would like to visit the Office. If you're already outside, the Office, feel free to press the buzzer if we're in.
